BackStopp™ Instructions
Thank you for purchasing BackBoxx™ acoustic speaker inserts (BBBS-10). The BBBS-10 is designed for placement behind your in-wall speakers or above your in-ceiling speakers within a BackBoxx™ speaker surround. BackStopp™ is designed from a unique open-cell foam that absorbs sound waves emitted from the rear of your speakers. Without it, sound will reflect back at the speaker, causing distortion.
Also, an additional benefit of the BBBS-10 is rear sound waves are minimized from traveling to adjacent rooms. Further benefits include the addition of insulation between the speaker and exterior elements.
Once you've cut the hole for your speaker, insert the BBBS-10 through the cutout. You may need to roll the BBBS-10 to fit it through the opening. Once it is in the wall, you can push it into place. The sidewalls are thicker than the sidewalls of a BackBoxx™, so the BBB-S10 will stay in position.
Once you've cut the hole for your speaker, insert the BBBS-10 through the cutout. You may need to roll the BBBS-10 to fit it through the opening. Once it is above the cutout, position so it is centered over the cutout. You may want to use double-face tape if installing into a BackBoxx™ Plus.
